Beginning in July 2022, Novitas Communications’ challenge was to build Hubilo’s credibility and increase brand awareness and interest in the U.S. and showcase Hubilo to investors in preparation for a Series B fundraise.

About

Hubilo Technologies, Inc. is the event professional’s event platform for live, hybrid, and virtual events. Founded over five years ago to revolutionize engagement at in-person events, the company makes it easy to bring people together anywhere, anytime. Hubilo’s powerful engagement features, personal client experience team and custom branding tools have helped create over 12K events and counting. Headquartered in Bangalore and San Francisco, Hubilo’s nearly 400 employees are dedicated to co-creating the world’s most important events. Hubilo was created to drive stronger, more meaningful engagements among brands organizing live events and their attendees, sponsors, etc. Then, Coronavirus hit. Hard. As the world, and thus live events, shut down, so did Hubilo’s business and pipeline. Overnight, its revenue dropped to $0. Hubilo already had the experience of five years’ worth of understanding and delivering solutions that met event organizers’ needs. Hubilo quickly rolled up its sleeves to launch a virtual + hybrid platform in just 26 days.

Solution

Novitas Communications developed media and communications strategies around Hubilo’s relaunch event, Events Reimagined, and Series B funding announcement. This included press releases at each milestone combined with media pitches and direct outreach to journalists.

To establish Hubilo as an industry leader and share expertise, Novitas Communications developed and placed thought leadership pieces from Hubilo executive and key spokespersons. Additionally, we secured membership on Forbes Councils for founder and CEO Vaibhav Jain, SVP Marketing + Communications Cathy Song Novelli and VP Marketing Liesl Leary Perez, where we consistently publish articles highlighting Hubilo’s expertise and comment on industry-related news. To further Hubilo’s brand awareness, Novitas secured paid media placements and interviews with top tier publications including The Economist and TechCrunch.

Additionally, to acquire third-party validation for Hubilo’s expertise and increase attractiveness to investors, Novitas Communications submitted Hubilo for relevant industry awards and accolades.

Novitas Communications has continued and enhanced these efforts past the initial relaunch and funding announcement, with a steady stream of thought leadership pieces and continuous pitching and media outreach to deepen Hubilo’s standing as the industry leader.

Results

Hubilo’s brand awareness has continued to grow and helped to establish Hubilo as an industry leader not as a virtual + hybrid platform, but in the event space as a whole.
