Jaime Gardner
Executive Vice President
Jaime Gardner brings a wealth of experience as a small business owner, having run her own firm (High Plains Communications, LLC), occupied high-level government agency and corporate positions, and enjoyed life adventures that inform her professional work and perspective. With a focus on communication and public relations, business administration, internal communication, public outreach, social media coordination, event planning, web content and copy writing, Jaime provides a variety of services and wide range of expertise to our clients.
Gardner has over twenty years of experience working in the public and private sector. For eight years, she was executive director of the Colorado Resource Alliance, a membership-based regulatory monitoring service serving counties, trade associations, individuals and companies interested in natural resource policy. She organized and administered the Front Range Energy Career Expo, a high school energy education and college/career fair event, in 2009 and 2010. She briefly served as executive director of the Houston-based Consumer Energy Education Foundation, providing energy education for middle school and high school students as well as STEM-based scholarship opportunities, in 2013.
Prior to that, Jaime worked in a variety of positions for the Department of the Interior and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), both in Colorado and Washington, DC. Jaime was a public information officer for BLM in the Colorado State Office, covering issues in recreation, energy, Congressional and state government relations, and law enforcement. During her time in Washington, Jaime managed the Secretary’s Office of Alaska Affairs. Early in her career, Gardner worked as a project manager and ‘troubleshooter’ for Lucent Technologies, both in Denver, CO and Huizen, Netherlands.
As a fourth-generation Coloradan, Jaime grew up in the Denver metro area, graduating from Thornton High School’s International Baccalaureate Program in 1997. Jaime holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Denver, with concentrations in international criminal justice and law and international Security; and minors in economics and Russian language – which she uses almost never today.
A dedicated worker, Jaime loves to take on new and different projects that cover any number of interest areas or industries. Jaime and her husband live in Yuma, Colorado with their three children, and she details life as a busy mom on her website, Juggling Normal.
Fun Fact: Jaime comes from a long line of interesting people. Her sixth great grandfather was Sir Frances Drake, an English explorer, and her great-great grandfather invented the ticker tape that was first used on the New York Stock Exchange.
