DENVER, Colo., (Oct. 28, 2025) — Novitas Communications received the Silver Award in the Pro Bono Work category at the Public Relations Global Network (PRGN) 2025 Best Practice Awards, held on October 23 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The prestigious ceremony, hosted at the historic Karen Blixen Coffee Garden, brought together PR leaders from six continents to celebrate innovation and impact in communications. This year, 28 member agencies from around the world submitted more than 160 entries across 24 categories, recognizing excellence in advocacy, B2B communications, crisis management, social media and more.

“We are deeply honored to receive global recognition for our pro bono work,” said Michelle Lyng, Founder and CEO of Novitas Communications. “Community service is foundational to who we are as an agency. We believe in using our communications expertise not only to elevate brands and causes but to strengthen the communities we call home.”

The winning campaign reflected Novitas’s commitment to advancing meaningful public awareness and positive social outcomes through strategic, empathetic storytelling. The firm is proud of its continued partnership with the Patrick Surtain II Foundation, with whom it combines data-driven strategy, authentic engagement and cross-sector collaboration to make a tangible difference for students, teachers and schools in the Denver metro area.

The PRGN Best Practice Awards celebrate the best in international public relations each year, highlighting the creativity, innovation and measurable impact achieved by agencies across the network. This year’s ceremony also marked the transition of PRGN’s presidency from Natacha Clarac of Athenora Consulting in Brussels to Frédéric François of Two cents in Belgium and the Netherlands, ushering in a new chapter of global collaboration.

“Being recognized alongside such an accomplished group of agencies around the world is a tremendous honor,” said Jaime Gardner, Novitas’ executive vice president who accepted the award in Kenya. “It reinforces our belief that strong relationships, community focus and purpose-driven work are the hallmarks of great PR.”
