2020 AAPC Silver Pollie Award

The Pollie Awards are hosted by the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC), the only bipartisan, non-profit organization for political consultants and public affairs professionals. Novitas Communications was honored for its work on the Proposition CC opposition campaign, a tax increase that would undermine the state’s taxpayer protection provision in the Colorado Constitution, the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights (TABOR). Specifically, its creation of the “Skipster ad,” which featured a whimsical hipster styled character proclaiming that the passage of Proposition CC would men the state could keep future TABOR tax refunds.
